Finally its over....
Finished my last paper yesterday night. Finally~ Kind of relief but not exactly drained. Did my indonesian paper. Then electrical, math and finally digital. And to my surprise i only spend like a few hours studying for my digital paper. Maybe its because i did e exact same module in poly before. Though e focus is different, there's more prac work here as compared to SP. I guess e theory i learn in SP did help a lot so it actually makes it easier for me to grasp e concept here.
Have just finished reading "da vinci code" and currently reading "One bullet Away, the making of a marine officer". Suddenly have this craze for reading. I don't usually read as most of you would know. I'm not a reader, even in uni, i would rather the lecturer explain to me than to read the information myself. I guess i can grasp the concept better these way. But i started reading more and more since coming to aussie. Maybe its because i have more spare time doing nothing here. In sg, i could ask people out for supper at night when i have nothing to do but there's nothing i can do here during e night except probably watch anime, chat with friends online or sleep.
The book is a good read for people like me. If you get what i mean. The author is a marine infantry officer. I feel that he is very much like me. Certainly not someone who thrive on killing people. But more like someone who'd go out of his way to take care of his men. Taking care of his men physically and mentally. He joined the marine corps on his own accord and was part of the Afghanistan mission and Iraq mission. I don't really care about the political effect of this two mission, to me as a PC reading another PC's account of his experience in these 2 missions really interest me. Its like going into war in my mind. Experiencing what he experienced but not actually being there in the danger itself. Many things that he did was what i was trained for. But reflecting on my own PC tour, i guess i didn't really do a very good job in preparing my platoon as well as i should if we go to war. Well i don't think sg will go to war anyway. =)
Gonna spend 2 weeks doing nothing here in Brisbane. And its getting ridiculously cold lar!! When e wind blows, my jacket seems to be like a normal t-shirt. Need to wear more jacket to keep myself warm. Was supposed to fly back to sg on the 25th june but lam persuaded me to go to learn skiing with him. Since skiing was the number 1 thing i promised myself to try when i'm in aussie before i come over here to study, i decided to give it a go. See you guys when i'm back in july!!
